The management of any IT related project is a vital component in ensuring that the project delivers the business solution on time and to budget.

Every project run by Web Hosting Scotland is managed according to industry best practise, and is managed by experienced project managers using recognised standard procedures. Project Management techniques (e.g. Prince) are used to ensure the project objectives are established and agreed, that regular meetings are held, and deadlines met.

Project management, for projects large or small, follow this simple process:

1. Agree precise specification for the project.
2. Plan the project - time, team, activities, resources, financials.
3. Communicate the project plan to your project team.
4. Agree and delegate project actions.
5. Manage, motivate, inform, encourage, enable the project team.
6. Check, measure, review project progress; adjust project plans, and inform the project team and others.
7. Complete project; review and report on project performance; give praise and thanks to the project team.

At Web Hosting Scotland we would use Prince techniques to manage YOUR project, unless you have a specific requirement to use another technique.

Our experienced project managers have successfully managed literally hundreds of successful IT and business projects. They have experience of other techniques, and can use these if requested. These include (but are not limited to) PERT, ITIL, SCRUM, AGILE etc and we use MS Project as the software tool, unless another is requested (E.g. Primavera).

After you have agreed to use our services, we will prepare an MS project plan based on our standard implementation after the project initiation meeting. This, together with meeting minutes, will be used to communicate between the customer and supplier. Responsibilities of Supplier and Customer will be clearly highlighted.
